Our design journey begins in Aotearoa New Zealand, where our small, collaborative team—led by Founder Bridget —brings their creative vision to life. From sketch to final design, our team works closely together to craft garments that are both fashionable and functional. We embrace the beauty of winter and the diverse needs of our customers, ensuring that every piece is not only stylish but also practical for the coldest days.
Materials
The heart of our clothing lies in the materials we use. Our main material is RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) merino wool. This high-quality wool is renowned for its natural warmth, breathability, and sustainability. By choosing RWS certified merino, we ensure that our wool is sourced from farms that prioritise the welfare of their sheep and the environment. This commitment to ethical sourcing helps us reduce our environmental footprint while providing you with the finest materials.
Manufacturing
Our garments are crafted in a factory based in India that shares our commitment to social and environmental sustainability. We have established a close, collaborative relationship with this factory due to our shared values. The factory emphasises fair labour practices and minimises its environmental impact, ensuring that every piece of Flakii clothing is produced with respect for both people and the planet.
